Big News for Dubai Metro Users: UAE Exchange Station Is About to Be Renamed!
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that the UAE Exchange Metro Station will soon bear a new name — Life Pharmacy Metro Station — following a major 10-year naming rights agreement with Life Pharmacy Group.
This move marks another milestone in RTA’s vision of integrating private sector partnerships into the city’s growing transport network. The rebranding will begin this May and continue through to the end of August 2025, during which time station signage, metro maps, digital applications, and audio announcements will be updated to reflect the new name.
The station, located in Jebel Ali Industrial 2 on the Red Line, has been a critical transit hub since its opening. Previously renamed to UAE Exchange in 2015, it will now carry the branding of one of the UAE’s most trusted healthcare retail chains.
The agreement was formalized through RTA’s commercial arm in partnership with Hypermedia and Mada Media. Officials emphasized that such initiatives create value for both commuters and companies, turning infrastructure into meaningful platforms for long-term collaboration.
Representatives from Life Pharmacy expressed pride in this new association, calling it a reflection of their commitment to being part of everyday life in Dubai. With over 400 outlets across the UAE, the group sees the metro partnership as a natural extension of its service to the public.
