Dubai Culture Adorns Dubai Roundabouts with Public Art
Open Call from June 11, 2024 to July 11, 2024
Dubai Culture, in partnership with Dubai Municipality (DM) and the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has announced an open call for new art installations to be featured in the main roundabouts of Dubai's neighborhoods. This initiative aligns with the Dubai Public Art strategy, launched to provide unique artistic experiences and stimulate innovation within the creative community.
Dubai Culture invites all emerging artists, practitioners, designers, and architects, both Emirati and UAE-based, to submit innovative ideas and proposals for distinctive art installations. These installations will be implemented at various major roundabouts across Dubai.
Participation applications will be accepted from 11th June, with a final submission deadline of 11th July. A committee of experts and artists will review the applications and select the qualifying projects. Winners will receive a monetary prize for each project, covering the costs of design, raw materials, manufacturing, and implementation at the chosen locations.
