Dubai: Salik announces 2 new toll gates to be operational from November 24

Dubai’s Salik will activate two new toll gates on November 24, located on Business Bay Crossing along Al Khail Road and Al Safa South on Sheikh Zayed Road. This expansion brings the total number of toll gates in the city to ten, aiming to improve traffic flow by easing congestion on major routes.

The new gates are anticipated to reduce traffic volumes by as much as 16% on impacted roads, aligning with Dubai’s broader transport strategy. Salik also revealed that these gates will operate using almost 100% solar energy, supporting sustainability goals.

Unlike some toll systems, Salik will maintain a flat fee of Dh4 per trip at these new locations, with no plans to introduce variable pricing. This standardization ensures cost predictability for daily commuters and aligns with Salik's consistent approach to toll management across Dubai’s road network.
