Hatta Winter initiative showcases 30 unique entrepreneurial projects from the Proudly from Dubai fold
The Hatta Winter 2024 initiative, overseen by the Supreme Committee to Oversee the Development of Hatta, has become a significant platform for small and emerging businesses to present their unique products to visitors from the UAE and beyond. This event supports entrepreneurial growth in Dubai by enhancing the visibility and market presence of innovative ventures.
Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, has facilitated the participation of 30 projects from its 'Proudly from Dubai' initiative in the Hatta Winter showcase. This initiative celebrates businesses born in Dubai, highlighting the city's culture of innovation and creativity. By involving these entrepreneurs in major events, Brand Dubai aims to promote their products and raise awareness about their contributions to the local economy.
Khawla Al Hashemi, a member of the Organising Committee of the Hatta Winter Festival, noted that last year's event attracted over 500,000 visitors from the UAE and the Gulf region. This substantial turnout offers a significant market opportunity for enterprises, including those led by young entrepreneurs from the Hatta region. The event's success aligns with the objectives of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, benefiting local communities and showcasing the region's tourism potential.
The Hatta Winter initiative encompasses five festivals across the Hatta region:
Hatta Winter Festival: Organised by Brand Dubai on the banks of Leem Lake.
Hatta Cultural Nights: Presented by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
Hatta Honey Festival and Hatta Agricultural Festival: Both hosted by Dubai Municipality.
Hatta x DSF: Organised by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.
Each festival offers a blend of community, cultural, and entertainment activities, providing unique experiences for visitors of all ages.
