New Intercity Bus Service to Launch Between Dubai and Sharjah from May 2

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the launch of a new intercity bus service connecting Dubai and Sharjah, starting May 2, 2025. The initiative aims to enhance mobility between the two busy emirates while offering an affordable and efficient transport alternative to residents and visitors.

The new line, designated as Route D03, will operate between Al Nahda Bus Station in Dubai and Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah. Buses are scheduled to depart every 30 minutes, ensuring smooth and frequent service for passengers. Operations will run daily from 5:30 AM to 11:00 PM, offering flexibility for both early morning travelers and late-night commuters.

Each bus is equipped with modern amenities, including comfortable seating and advanced safety features, designed to improve the overall commuter experience. The fare for a single journey has been set at Dh 10, making it a highly economical option compared to other means of transportation between the two emirates.

This move is part of RTA’s broader vision to encourage the use of public transportation, reduce road congestion, and support sustainable urban mobility in the UAE. Officials anticipate that the new service will significantly ease the pressure on private transport and contribute positively to environmental goals by cutting down vehicle emissions.

Passengers can access detailed schedules and route information via the RTA’s official website and mobile application. Ticket purchases will also be available through Nol cards for convenience.
