Dubai has completed the summer preparedness of 893 air-conditioned bus shelters across 22 key locations, enhancing comfort and convenience for public transport users during the hotter months.

A citywide inspection and maintenance campaign began earlier this year, focusing on ensuring all shelters remain fully functional, clean, and ready to serve passengers efficiently throughout summer. The shelters are designed with heat-resistant structures and energy-saving features, offering relief from high temperatures for daily commuters.

Each shelter supports accessibility by including dedicated space for wheelchair users and visual guides for the city’s public bus routes. Real-time digital screens provide updates on arrival times, helping riders plan their journeys more efficiently.
